The Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Sherry Cask Edition is a distinguished travel retail-exclusive single malt Scotch whisky, first unveiled in May 2024 at Singapore Changi Airport as part of the Changi 1st initiative, in collaboration with Lotte Duty Free Singapore. Following its debut, the expression began rolling out to key airports worldwide from June 2024 onwards.

This edition offers a unique twist on Bruichladdich’s signature unpeated Classic Laddie. While maintaining the distillery’s hallmark citrus and floral notes, it undergoes additional maturation in Oloroso sherry casks sourced from Fernando de Castilla in Jerez, Spain. This finishing imparts a richer, more complex character to the whisky.

Distilled, matured, and bottled exclusively on Islay, the whisky is presented at 50% ABV and is non-chill filtered with no added colouring. On the nose, it reveals light fruit notes of apple and apricot, complemented by nutty aromas and layers of spice. The palate is coated with flavours of dried fruits, dates, and malt sugar, culminating in a finish enriched by the depth and richness from the Oloroso sherry maturation.

In line with Bruichladdich’s commitment to sustainability, the packaging incorporates several eco-friendly features. The bottle is made from 60% recycled glass and is 32% lighter than its predecessor, resulting in a 65% reduction in CO₂ emissions. Additional sustainable elements include a polypropylene closure, a cork made from bio-based sources, and an organic ink coating.
