5A. Instant Win Prizes
Some competitions promoted by Whisky Globetrotters Ltd may include instant win prizes.
Instant win prizes are awarded independently of the main competition prize and do not replace the final draw prize.
How Instant Wins Work
Instant win prizes are released automatically during the competition period when pre-set ticket sales milestones are reached. When an instant win is triggered, the qualifying entrant is notified immediately and the prize is awarded at the point of entry.
Instant win prizes are limited in number and are not guaranteed for every entrant.
5A.1 Site Credit Instant Wins
Where site credit instant win prizes are offered:
a. Site credit is awarded instantly at the point of entry when a qualifying ticket number is entered.
b. Site credit is automatically added to the winner’s on-site wallet.
c. Site credit has no cash value, is non-transferable, and may only be used to enter eligible competitions on the Whisky Globetrotters website.
d. Site credit may be subject to an overall allocation cap for a competition, which will be clearly disclosed on the competition page.
e. Once the stated site credit allocation cap has been reached, no further site credit instant win prizes will be awarded for that competition.
5A.2 Unlockable Mystery Whisky Instant Win Prizes
Some competitions may include unlockable mystery whisky instant win prizes.
Where this applies:
a. Mystery whisky instant win prizes are not available from the start of the competition.
b. These prizes will only become active once specific ticket sale thresholds are reached, as clearly stated on the competition page.
c. Until the relevant threshold is reached, mystery whisky instant win prizes cannot be won.
d. Unlocking thresholds are objective, pre-defined, and apply equally to all entrants.
5A.3 Activation of Unlockable Instant Win Prizes
Once a stated ticket sale threshold has been reached:
a. The corresponding mystery whisky instant win prize will be activated.
b. The activated prize will be allocated using a pre-defined automated process in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
c. Eligible ticket numbers may include tickets already sold and/or tickets sold after the activation point, as specified on the competition page.
If an activated instant win prize is allocated to a ticket number that has already been sold, the prize will be awarded immediately and the winner notified.
5A.4 Fairness and Transparency
a. All instant win mechanics, including any unlocking thresholds, are disclosed before entry.
b. No entrant is led to believe they can win a prize that is not yet active.
c. No changes are made to instant win prize structures or unlocking thresholds once a competition has launched.

9. Exceptional Circumstances / Service Disruption

However, circumstances outside the Promoter's reasonable control may occasionally materially disrupt or prevent entries. Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, payment processor or payment gateway failure or withdrawal, hosting or server failure, website outage, cyber or security incidents, telecommunications failures, or the failure or withdrawal of an essential third-party service.
9.2 Where such circumstances materially prevent or restrict entrants from entering a Competition, the Promoter may, where permitted by applicable law and promotional rules, temporarily suspend the Competition and/or extend its Closing Date by a reasonable and proportionate period.
9.3 Any decision to extend a Competition will take account of the duration and effect of the disruption, fairness to existing and prospective entrants, and whether existing entrants would be materially disadvantaged by the extension. An extension will not be made merely for the purpose of increasing ticket sales or achieving a particular level of sales.
9.4 Where a Competition is suspended or its Closing Date or Draw Date is changed because of exceptional circumstances, the Promoter will communicate the change to entrants as soon as reasonably practicable through the Website and, where appropriate, by email and/or the Promoter's social-media channels.
9.5 Entries validly received before or during any affected period will remain valid unless the Competition is cancelled and entrants are informed otherwise.
