Darkness 8 Year Old Sherry Cask Finish
🎃 Something dark has arrived at Whisky Globetrotters®…
This Halloween, you could win a bottle of Darkness 8 Year Old Sherry Cask Finish – a rich, brooding Speyside single malt with a seriously dark side.
Matured for eight years and given an intense finish in small Oloroso sherry octave casks, Darkness 8 Year Old delivers the deep colour, rich fruit and powerful sherry character that has made the Darkness range so popular with whisky lovers.
And there is another mystery hiding in the shadows…
The Speyside distillery behind this whisky is officially undisclosed. Its identity remains a secret, making this bottle an especially fitting prize for Halloween. There have been plenty of whispers amongst whisky enthusiasts, but the true source stays hidden in the darkness.
👻 A Halloween Whisky With a Dark Side
Darkness 8 Year Old Sherry Cask Finish is bottled at a generous 47.8% ABV and offers a rich combination of dark fruit, warming spice, chocolate and intense sherry influence.
The use of small sherry octave casks gives the whisky much more contact with the wood, helping to create a bold and concentrated flavour profile.
Expect notes reminiscent of:
- 🍒 Dark cherries and dried fruit
- 🍫 Rich chocolate
- 🌰 Roasted nuts
- 🍊 Orange peel
- 🌶️ Warming spice
- 🪵 Deep Oloroso sherry oak
