The Glengoyne Balbaína is a travel retail-exclusive single malt whisky from Glengoyne’s celebrated Spirit of Oak collection. First launched in March 2018, this collection showcases the distillery’s dedication to cask influence. Balbaína joined the range later that year, appearing in World Duty Free stores across UK airports from October 2018.

Named after the famous Balbaína vineyard in Spain’s sherry-producing region, this expression reflects the historic link between sherry casks and Scotch maturation. Glengoyne matures the whisky exclusively in first-fill European oak Oloroso sherry casks. This method delivers depth, richness, and a bold sherried character.

Bottled at 43% ABV and available in a one-litre format, Balbaína offers a well-rounded sensory experience. The nose opens with warm notes of spiced raisins, maple syrup, biscuit, and clove.
