No. The duty free whisky experience is part of the onboard journey, but any tastings are subject to onboard availability and policies,
and any purchases are optional and at the winner’s cost.
How is the winner chosen?
The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries after the closing date. We may use a verifiably random process
or an independently supervised draw.

1) The promotion

- Type: Free prize draw (no purchase necessary).

2) Eligibility
- Open to UK residents aged 18 or over at the time of entry.
- Employees, directors, officers and immediate family members of the Promoter (and anyone professionally connected with this Promotion) may not enter.
- Entry limit: one entry per person during the Promotion period. Entries deemed to be duplicates, bulk, automated, or generated by script/macros may be removed.
3) How to enter
- Enter by selecting a ticket and subscribing the entry form on the Promoter’s website during the Promotion period.
- No purchase is required.
- Internet access is required. The Promoter is not responsible for entries not received due to technical issues beyond its reasonable control.
4) The prize
- The prize is a Newcastle–Amsterdam (North Shields ↔ IJmuiden) DFDS mini-cruise for two people including:
(a) return mini-cruise travel for 2, (b) buffet dinner on the first evening onboard, and (c) breakfast on the first morning onboard
(together, the “Prize”). - The Prize does not include: travel to/from the terminal, spending money, drinks, travel insurance, upgrades, cabins (unless explicitly stated by the Promoter in writing),
duty free purchases, or any costs not listed as included above. - Duty free shopping is available onboard and any whisky tastings/sampling are subject to onboard availability and policies. Any purchases are the winner’s responsibility.
- No cash alternative is available, except where required by law or regulation.
- If the Prize (or any element of it) becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control,
the Promoter may substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value.
5) Booking, travel and winner responsibilities
- The winner must provide the Promoter with full details requested for fulfilment (including passenger names as per passport, date(s) preferences, and any other required information) within 7 days of being notified.
- Travel dates are subject to availability and any restrictions imposed by DFDS or relevant authorities. The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to agree suitable dates with the winner.
- The winner and guest must comply with all travel requirements (passport/entry rules/health requirements) applicable at the time of travel.
- The Promoter is not responsible for refusal of entry, missed sailings, or costs incurred due to failure to meet travel requirements.
6) Winner selection and notification
- The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received by the closing date/time.
- The Promoter will contact the winner using the email address supplied at entry within 5 working days of the draw date.
- If the winner does not respond within 7 days of first contact, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner (and repeat this process as necessary).
- The Promoter may publish the winner’s surname and county (or broadly equivalent region) to demonstrate that a valid award took place, unless the winner objects. The Promoter will provide this information to the ASA on request.
7) Data protection and marketing
- The Promoter will process personal data for the purposes of administering this Promotion, contacting entrants and the winner, and prize fulfilment.
- The Promoter may email entrants with updates related to this Promotion. Entrants can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

8) General
- The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw, amend, or suspend the Promotion where it becomes necessary to do so due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, while taking reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary disappointment.
- The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party products/services or for the acts/omissions of third parties, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

(b) hand delivered entries will not be accepted and will not be entered into the random draw;

(iv) the Competition you are entering (Must match EXACTLY how it appears on our website) and your answer to the Competition Question.
(v) confirm you agree to the Terms & Conditions.
(d) incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified;
(e) you may make one free entry for any competition (up to any limit placed on entries by the Promoter) but each free entry must be submitted and posted to the Promoter separately. Postal entries are limited to 1 customer per household. Bulk entries in one envelope will not be accepted as multiple entries and if a bulk entry is received, it will be counted as one single entry;
